Just Breath Foundation
The organization began after the tragic death of 38 year old Joseph (Joe) Carter, from congenital lung failure brought about by a rare condition called Mounier-Kuhn Syndrome. Joe was a Fort Lauderdale attorney who was loved, admired and respected by his family, friends and colleagues.
The goal of the Just Breathe Foundation is to support families affected by Mounier-Kuhn Syndrome as well as to raise awareness and further research of this disease.

Communities In Schools is the nation's largest dropout prevention organization.The mission of Communities in Schools is to champion the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school and prepare for life.
By bringing caring adults into the schools to address children's unmet needs, CIS provides the link between educators and the community. The result: teachers are free to teach, and students - many in jeopardy of dropping out - have the opportunity to focus on learning.

Boys and Girls Club of Broward County
In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.
Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. Habitat for Humanity of Broward County
For more than 25 years Habitat for Humanity of Broward County has been building simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with low and very low income families in need. To date, more than 260 new, single family homes have been constructed changing the lives of more than 1,200 children and families throughout our community. The SBDC in Broward is a member of the Florida SBDC Network, a statewide service network of over 30 centers funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
